NEEDLE FELTING CLASS
FILLED TO THE BRIM!
Instructor, Susan Wolcott, of Y2Knit was delighted
with this years response to the Class:
"We had a great time in the needle felting class. Thanks to the vendors who provided roving and apologies to
anyone who minded the noise! It's always rewarding to have a few minutes to explore our creativity and to get out of the box.
For those new to needle felting, they discovered the pleasure of simply striking a needle into wool. The rhythm
and necessary concentration makes this a relaxing activity. Only one person stabbed themselves and didn't even need
a Band-Aid. Participants practiced needle felting onto some alpaca/cotton felted batting and also experimented with
free form objects. Mice, sheep and pumpkins were created."

Four people increased their knitting skills at Micki Smith's Mosaic Knitting Class during
the 2009 festival. While the finished design appears complicated it's really quite simple. For more information
